I decided to honor my mother in law, Rosemary Jackson's, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer by raising money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Rosemary has been affectionately known by many since the birth of her first grandchild, my son Wesley, as Granny Rosie. Of all the things and people she loves, her two favorites are my children, Wesley and Aubrey. Everyone knows, even her own son Leslie comes third! However, Rosemary loves everyone, and EVERYONE who knows Rosemary loves her too. To know her is to fall in love with her sweet spirit. She always has a kind word to say and always puts others before herself. Please join me in honoring this one of a kind, sweet, caring lady and donating to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Pancreatic cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the US with just a five-year survival rate of just 10%. Pancreatic cancer usually has vague symptoms, is usually found deep within the abdominal cavity, hindering early detection and less than 20% of patients can have a surgical procedure. High priorities must be put on pancreatic cancer research to find cures and treatments.
